“Everything in the world is about sex, except sex. Sex is about power.” Oscar Wilde

FADE IN:

INT. HOTEL BAR — NIGHT

Upscale. The kind of bar where deals are made, and the only people making under seven figures are the staff or voluptuous young women sipping martinis hoping to land a future divorcee.

One VOLUPTUOUS BLONDE seems different. She’s bellied up to the bar, alone.

Seemingly uninterested in her surroundings, she’s entranced, but for no apparent reason. This is BRYER COLLINS, 35. She’s beautiful but without the huntress aura.

A SUIT hanging at the bar with other suits can’t help but notice her. This suit is HENRY, 50s. If confidence makes you attractive, then he pulls it off in spades.

Henry ambles over to Bryer’s side of the bar and summons the bartender with a simple head nod.

Bartender approaches.

HENRY
Scotch and water. And if the lady

would like a drink… Bryer looks up.

BRYER (Swedish accent)

Oh. No, thank you. I’ve had enough.

HENRY
I’m usually good with accents. But

can’t quite pinpoint yours.

BRYER Swedish. Kalmar.

HENRY
Long way from home. What brings you

to New York?

BRYER
Girl’s trip. Celebrating my

divorce. They’re out celebrating.

INT. THE KENNEDY HOTEL LOBBY — NIGHT

Swankier than the hotel bar, if that’s possible. We see Henry handing the hotel receptionist his black AMEX.

Bryer waits by the elevator. She’s dressed just sexy enough to show off a bod that would make J.Lo do a double-take.

Henry looks back and smiles, practically salivating. The hotel receptionist eyes Bryer conspicuously.

Bryer nonchalantly places her hand on her ear.

BRYER (no accent)

We’re going up. She’s talking into an earpiece.

Copy.

VOICE (V.O.)

Henry retrieves the key card and escorts Bryer into a mirrored elevator.

When the doors close, she walks to the corner of the elevator and seductively stares at Henry in an adjacent mirror.

He can’t wait any longer! He ravishes her in the elevator, kissing her neck and cleavage.

VOICE (V.O.) Turn around.

She looks up and sees the elevator camera staring at the back of his head.

INT. HOTEL SECURITY ROOM — NIGHT
A dark room full of TV screens streaming security cameras. Two MEN watch Bryer and Henry in the elevator in real-time.

One of the men, dressed in hotel security uniform, is RICKY, 20s. He eats popcorn and smokes dope. The other looks like a modern-day Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch. This is SIMPSON, 30s.

On the screen, we repeat prior — Bryer pushes him back playfully.

SECURITY SCREEN: Henry’s FACE clear as a bell. Simpson talks into a tiny headset.

SIMPSON And that’s money.

RICKY
Goddamn. I love it when she’s here. I’ll watch this clip for weeks.

Simpson chuckles.
